LIBRO

Headless Commerce: How LIBRO creates excellent shopping experiences using PWA.
Description

LIBRO is one of the best-known and most popular brands in Austria and offers customers a unique range of products from the areas of schools, gifts and multimedia.

With around 200 locations throughout Austria, LIBRO offers many items for everyday school life all year round as well as a great selection of gift highlights - whether for at home, in the classroom or as an originally packaged party gift. There are also helpful services and videos that round off the offer perfectly. LIBRO attaches great importance to the highest quality and at the same time an attractive value for money.

Customer Request

The old web shop was no longer able to cope with the changed user behavior, so the focus of the new platform was on optimizing the mobile user experience. Based on a PWA as a headless front end, the possibilities of mobile devices for innovative new features can be fully used: excellent mobile user experience, "offline first" through service workers, school list service, push notifications and much more.

In addition, LIBRO required a platform that already offers a maximum of functionality in the standard scope of delivery. At the same time, comprehensive REST API coverage was necessary to facilitate integration with numerous third-party systems such as PIM, CRM, ERP, store pickup reservation system, loyalty, payment, search or online marketing. In addition, the support of a headless frontend (PWA) played a central role.

After thorough research and consideration of the challenges outlined above, LIBRO chose Adobe Commerce as the world's most popular shop system and PHOENIX MEDIA Austria as a competent solution partner.

Reference Result

Until now, the retailer has operated its various brands on their own web shop instances.

The Page Builder enables LIBRO to design a wide variety of content elements within the web shop without any knowledge of HTML, but using drag and drop and to add dynamic elements such as product lists or current promotions. With the help of content staging and scheduling, changes in the web shop can be planned for a future point in time and verified using a preview.

Selected extensions continue to ensure an individual and unique customer experience. The Amasty Store Pickup & Locator expands the multi-storage capability (multi-source inventory) already included in Adobe Commerce by locating nearby branch stores and placing click and collect orders directly in the branches.

The Amasty Product Feed Module is used to enable retailers to conveniently manage the export of product feeds for online marketing purposes such as Google Shopping in the Adobe Commerce backend.

Amasty Free Gifts & Special Promotions Pro extends the Adobe Commerce cart price rules with additional discount rules that give the merchant even more freedom in designing promotions.

The platform offer is rounded off by various features such as the school list. This makes it much easier for parents to start a new school year, as the system automatically compiles the required school materials in the shopping cart after submitting the school supplies list and then sends out a link to complete the purchase.
